Chefs from Micronesian Chefs Association: Chef Rnhel Manlutac, Sandcastle; Chef Veronica Calvo-Perez, Firefly; Chef Clayton Babas, Guam Reef Hotel; Chef Hubert Friedle', Aqua Resort Saipan and Chef Chris Aguilar, Outrigger Guam Resort and Jr. Chefs from GCC displayed their stylish dishes in a five-course meal and performed an original skit to an audience in an entertaining and tasteful gala event. Each course was decided and selected on a random drawing by Chefs. After each meal, the audience voted on appearance, quality of taste and performance. Once courses were served and skits performed, ballots are tallied to determine the winning team. Congratulations to Executive Chef Veronica Calvo-Perez for successfully defending her title as the Celebrity Chefs Bella Notte winner! Entertainment was also provided by Sandcastle Guam World Professional Pair Champions Anita Heartshorn and Frank Swieding. Proceeds from this event will go the UOG Endowment Foundation capital campaigns and a certain percentage to the Micronesian Chefs Association for their continuing efforts to help educate and train young men and women who want to pursue a career in the culinary arts.
